Online German courses As part of its educational and language exchange activities, SyDK e.V. is delighted to launch the ‘Online German Courses’ project, taught by German teachers. Discover Germany Ideas & Goals Germany has a unique position from various perspectives and holds a special status in Europe The diversity of this country has yet to be discovered by some Many interesting places, facts, and figures are unknown to many of us The “Discover Germany” project, as a form of research, is dedicated to the task and goal of exploring new topics Encourage the younger generations to work effectively as a team and teach them the basic and simplest research methods Strengthening the social skills of the younger generations through teamwork Boosting the self-confidence of the younger generation by taking on organisational tasks and giving presentations in front of an audience To offer informative and engaging activities for all members of the association Project Workflow The project takes place once a year. Each year, a new topic is researched by our young members A research topic is determined—historical, geographical, economic, artistic, scientific, etc. An excursion lasting 2–3 days will be organized at a suitable location and time The excursion agenda will be announced in advance by the project leader Further details and registration deadlines will follow
Discover Syria Ideas & Goals Syria has a unique geographical and historical position Syria is one of the oldest countries in the world The Syrian capital, Damascus, is considered the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world The history of Syria spans developments from prehistoric times to the present day Many aspects of Syria are unfamiliar to Germans as well as to Syrians born in Germany Many interesting places, facts, and figures are unknown to many of us Syria is known to the younger generation only through the war This project sheds light on the lesser-known sides of Syria and strengthens the connection to the homeland Project Workflow Data and facts about Syria—geographical, historical, social, touristic, and more—will be researched Old and current photos and videos of Syria will be collected The results will be presented in combination with a musical evening The presentation date will be announced
